# Why is my investment showing a pending status?
To keep your tax-advantaged STRATA account in compliance with IRS regulations, each new investment must be confirmed after funds are sent. This confirmation verifies both the amount funded and that the asset is properly registered to the STRATA account.
Once funds are sent, STRATA reaches out to the appropriate parties and asks that the confirmation be completed **within a 30-day timeframe**.

### How does the process work?
After STRATA sends funds for the investment purchase, the investment sponsor/issuer must provide written confirmation of the investment details and asset registration to the STRATA account.
Until STRATA receives confirmation verifying both the amount funded and the registration to the IRA, the investment will appear as *Pending* in your STRATA account.

### When the investor provides documentation
For any assets that do not have an investment sponsor, such as directly owned real estate or mineral rights, the investor is responsible for submitting the required documents.

to upload supporting documentation.
For private debt involving real estate, directly owned real estate, mineral rights, or royalty interests, the following supporting documentation is required after the purchase has been made.
