Why Is My Investment Showing a Pending Status?

Investments show a Pending status until STRATA receives written confirmation verifying the amount funded and the asset’s registration to your IRA. Learn how the investment confirmation process works.

To keep your tax-advantaged STRATA account in compliance with IRS regulations, each new investment must be confirmed after funds are sent. This confirmation verifies both the amount funded and that the asset is properly registered to the STRATA account.

Once funds are sent, STRATA reaches out to the appropriate parties and asks that the confirmation be completed within a 30-day timeframe.

How does the process work?

After STRATA sends funds for the investment purchase, the investment sponsor/issuer must provide written confirmation of the investment details and asset registration to the STRATA account.

Until STRATA receives confirmation verifying both the amount funded and the registration to the IRA, the investment will appear as Pending in your STRATA account.
