What is a Trump Account and will STRATA offer them?
A Trump Account is a tax-advantaged investment account for children under age 18 that is designed to help build long-term wealth. Beginning July 4, 2026, eligible children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, may qualify for a one-time $1,000 federal contribution. Additional annual contributions may be made by parents, guardians, employers, and charitable organizations. Investments are generally limited to low-cost mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Will STRATA offer Trump Accounts?
No, Trump Accounts will be created and administered by the Treasury Department at least initially. Once the beneficial owner turns age 18, a Trump Account may be transferred to a Traditional IRA or rolled to a Roth IRA.
