How do I update STRATA online account credentials?

Accountholders, account designated representatives (ADRs), and interested parties (IPs) can update their online login credentials—password, email address, or username—at any time through their STRATA account portal.  

⚠️Before you begin
To use any of the self‑help tools, your online security profile must be completed. This includes security question & answer, security image, security phrase, and a recovery email.

If your security profile has not been set up, the online self-help tools will not work.
In that case, contact Client Services at 866-928-9394 for assistance, Monday–Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time.

1. Update your password (you know your password)

  • Log in to your STRATA account through our secure online account portal

  • Click the down arrow on the User Profile icon, located in the top-right corner of the welcome screen, and select "Go to My Profile".

  • Click on the "Change Passwordbutton located at the bottom of your profile screen. 
  • Follow the instructions to enter your current password and your new password, and click "Save Changesto submit your password change request. 

👉Troubleshooting tip: To update or remove old passwords saved on your personal computer, you will need to access your browser's "Saved Passwords" menu. For Chrome, Firefox or Edge users follow these instructions.

2. Reset a forgotten password

  • Go to the STRATA Log In page.
  • Select Private or Public computer.

  • Click the “Forgot Password”.

  • Enter your Username, then answer your security question.

  • A temporary password will be emailed to the address on your profile.

  • Return to the Log In page, select Private or Public machine, and enter your Username and your temporary password to sign in.

  • You will then be prompted to change your temporary password. Follow the instructions to enter your current temporary password, then select a new password. Click “Save Changes” to submit your password change request. 

  • After the change has been submitted, an email confirming the password change will be sent to the email address associated with your user profile.

3. Update your email (online portal only)

  • Go to the STRATA Log In page.
  • Open the User Profile icon and select "Go to My Profile".

  • Select "Edit Profile".

  • Update your email address and save your changes.

Important:
This updates your online access email only. To update the email address on your official STRATA account, see Section 5 below.
 

👉Troubleshooting tip: Check spam/junk folders if you are not seeing the confirmation emails. You may also follow the instructions at the bottom of our Client Support page to Whitelist STRATA emails. 


 
 

 

4. Recover your username

  • Go to the STRATA Log In page.
  • Under Existing users, select Log In.
  • Click “Forgot Username?”
Forgot Username
  • Enter your email address and one of the following:

    • STRATA account number
    • Last four digits of your Social Security Number
    • Answer to your security question
Recover Username
  • Click "Continue", your username will be emailed to the STRATA account email address on record.


 
 

  

5. User profile overview

 

image-png-Feb-20-2023-08-52-10-7106-PMYou may access your user profile and security information by clicking on the User Guide Screen Shot 44 icon on the top-right corner of the welcome screen. The user profile will provide you with the following: 

  • Username 
  • Last Login Timestamp 
  • Access to My Profile & Security Center
  • Log Out

Click on "Go to My Profile" to access your security information. You may update the following information from this screen: 

  • Password recovery and email address
  • Change/update password
  • Security question & answer 
  • Security image 
  • Security phrase

6. Update information on your STRATA account (not portal credentials)

Online portal credential changes do not update STRATA account records.To update mailing address, phone number, or other STRATA account information:
