How do I transfer or roll over funds into my STRATA account?

You can transfer or roll over assets into your STRATA account through a direct transfer, direct rollover, or indirect rollover, depending on your current account.

Direct transfer or direct rollover:

Submit STRATA's IRA Transfer Request form. To complete the form, you will need the following information about your current custodian:

  • Accountholder name (as it appears on your current IRA)
  • Account number and account type (e.g., Roth or Traditional)
  • Name and contact information of your current custodian

Indirect rollover

An indirect rollover moves funds from an employer-sponsored retirement plan (such as a 401(k)) or other retirement account to you before they are deposited into your STRATA account.

To begin this process, you must initiate the distribution with your current plan provider.

  • You must deposit the funds into your STRATA account within 60 days
  • IRS rules may limit how often you can complete an indirect rollover within 12 months

When submitting your deposit, include a Deposit Certification form to ensure the funds are applied correctly.
