How to Remove a Saved Password from a Web Browser

Follow these straightforward steps to update or remove saved passwords in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browsers.

To update or remove old passwords on your personal computer, you will need to access your browser's "Saved Passwords" menu. 

For Chrome, Firefox, or Edge users:

Step 1: Open your browser

Step 2: Click on the ellipses button (which looks like the three dots), in the upper right corner.  

Step 3: Towards the bottom, click on settings. 

Step 4: Access the password menu

For Google Chrome users - in the settings menu, click on “Autofill and Passwords”.

For Edge and Firefox users - navigate to your profile and click on “Passwords”. 

Step 5: On the Passwords screen, find "Saved Passwords." Here you will see a list of every username and password that you've chosen to save in Google Chrome. By default, the passwords are obscured for security reasons. To view a password, click on the eye icon beside it. 

When using Windows or Mac, a pop up will appear asking you for your username and password for security purposes. and click OK. After you successfully enter the account information, your saved passwords will appear.
