Can I view my precious metals or request photos?

Yes. You may request photographs of your precious metals or schedule an in-person visit to view them at the depository where they are stored. STRATA will coordinate these requests with the depository on your behalf.

To request a visit or photographs, submit STRATA's General Letter of Instruction (LOI). For in-person visits, the LOI must include:

  • The name of anyone accompanying you (maximum of one guest)
  • Vehicle year, make, model, color, and license plate number
  • A copy of your driver's license
  • A copy of your guest's driver's license, if applicable

⚠️If you will be using a rental vehicle, you may submit your request before you have the vehicle information. Please provide the rental vehicle details to STRATA as soon as they become available so they can be shared with the depository before your visit.

Once your request has been submitted, the depository will contact you directly to schedule the visit. Depositories generally require at least one week's notice to prepare for and coordinate visitor access.

For metals held at Delaware Depository Service Company (DDSC):

  • A $70 fee applies for in-person viewing requests.
  • A $70 fee applies for photograph requests.
  • DDSC permits viewing or photographing one example of each type of metal held in your account.
